Hello and welcome to my new website LumisaDesign.

I am really proud I can all welcome you to my new Lumisadesign website. I am Sanna, I am the owner and creator of the Lumisadesign shop and all the illustrations you find there. Maybe you already know my etsy shop Lumisadesign. But after almost 4 years on etsy, I realised it was time for a change. I will not close the etsy shop, but I believe I can offer more and better products in my own web shop.

How did I start my shop?

I actually studied to become a radiation therapist in a hospital and worked there for eight or nine years. Never could I have guessed that ten years later I would start my own web shop. A place where I sold cards and posters with my illustrations on them! It was really exiting to start my own shop. (I still remember my first sale of a post card to the US.) Selling my art was the best thing I have done, because I soon realised this is what I love to do.

I am happily married and the mom of two boys. My youngest son went to school at the age of four and I decided it was the perfect moment to start a new journey in my life. I have drawn all my life: animals, little comic books and illustrations. So it was a logical step, that I should to do something with this talent. I made a couple of illustrations for post cards and posters and soon my etsy shop was born.

By now you may be realising, that what I have told above, isn’t the Lumisadesign web shop you see today. How I have come from post cards and posters to a shop with unique personalized shirts and gifts will be a story for another blog post.
